♡ 2nd year anniversary!! ♡

I was unable to write for the past few months. I feel my eyesight deteriorating but that wasn't the cause for my lack of writing.
I've had my finals but they ended a few days ago. Been super busy working on my projects and studying. 

I will probably be posting a lot for the next few days to update on things that's going on in my life.

The 25th of February marks my 2nd year anniversary with my long distance boyfriend - Sid! However, due to some unnerving circumstances, he forgot and we weren't able to celebrate it.

And I don't normally do collages but this is an exception and can not be helped!

My gift for him was the Heartseeker ward in League of Legends with the caption 'lmao happy anniversary'. Oh my god, I'm a trashy girlfriend.
But look how cute the ward issssss!

Slow day

I did something really irresponsible yesterday!

My will to not sleep was so weak that I took a nap at about 4 PM and woke up 11 PM. My hair was greasy so I HAD to take a shower and that's when the problem started! I was unable to sleep and had troubles sleeping last night. *criES* But hey, everyone does stupid things every once in a while, am I right? So, I slept at 8 AM. I feel a little guilty for some reason because it seemed like my roommate was unable to fall asleep as well and it felt like I was the reason for it.

I set an alarm at 12:30 PM and I woke up 30 minutes before my alarm rang, prepared for my class but I was 15 minutes late because I decided to stay in bed longer. Nothing much happened in class today. Just your usual sweaty girl in dance class. 

After class, I went to 7-11 to buy lunch. But on my way out, one of the guys in my dance class wrapped his hands around my shoulder, called out to his friends and said, "Hey, I need to introduce someone new. My geek." and I was so dumbstruck! I was like, "What? 
"My geek." 
"What?" 
And then asked in the most disappointing tone ever, "You don't know what's a geek?" 
I replied with, "I know what it is but why are you calling me that?" 
"Just because I want to." 
OH OKAY. 

Anyway, for lunch, I bought a 40 baht shrimp burger which I'm currently nibbling on (This is the second time I'm having this and I must confess that the tartar sauce in this burger is the best I've had in my life), Coke and a 25 baht crab and shrimp sandwich which I'll save for tomorrow. On the way out, I bought two pineapples. 83 baht in total for today!

I'm listening to Bodyslam as I write this post using my mobile data again as I'm unable to connect to the campus' WiFi AGAIN. When logging in, it said RADIUS Server is not responding. Geez, why the internet gotta have so much problem?

I don't have much plans for today. I think I'll do my laundry and play video games. And for my own good, I MUSTN'T TAKE A NAP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY AND WAKE UP AT MIGHTNIGHT, DEAR LORD.

My 3rd Midterm ended!

I'm back in my dorm and sadly, unable to connect to my campus' WiFi. When logging in, it states that my username and password is invalid. What wrong have I done?! I'll try logging in later. Currently, I'm using my mobile data. 

Anyway, as you can read from the title, I finished my 3rd midterm today which was Computer Applications in Business! Not like it was hard but it wasn't worth sleeping 7 AM for. I don't know what I was stressing about! I was prepared 2 weeks ago when my professor sent the guideline. Nerd.

After my midterm, my professor asked me if I was interested in a couple of extracurricular activities. Sure, I was! I have a lot of free time anyway. This week, on the 25th of February, there's going to be a Thai Instrument extra-activity. I decided to join the Thai Cooking Class on the 3rd of March and according to my professor, they'll be teaching how to cook Pad Thai. Woo. And on the 10th of March, there's going to be a TOEIC Test. 

When I left the class, I decided to have my lunch (which also includes my dinner, by the way) out of campus. I remembered that a good friend of mine told me to buy street food as they were cheaper and tastier and that Yum Mama (ยำมาม่า) was her favourite. So I did walk out of my university and I found this stall that sells Yum. And if you know me very well, the kind of dishes I frequently order is Seafood Yum (ยำ), Kuey Teow/Tiaw (ก๋วยเตี๋ยว), or any noodle dish that's under the "Phad" (ผัด) category which translates to Stir fried.

Here, she made me choose my Sen (เส้น) which means Noodle in Thai. 

I chose Sen Mama (เส้นมาม่า), the Tom Yum Flavour (ต้มยำกุ้ง)

 And over here, she made me choose what I'd like in my yum. There are hot dogs, immitation crab meat, shimeji mushrooms and other which I couldn't identify. Also, the white frilly thing that looks like bleached hydrangeas are mushrooms! Sadly, I do not know the variety. 

I chose to have cabbage, hot dogs, immitation crab meat and shimeji mushrooms in mine. And oh my god, I'm sooo living for shimeji mushrooms!

Yay!

After purchasing the yum, I bought 2 pineapples. In total, I've spent 80 baht on my food. Not that I'm living on a budget or anything but I normally spend 30 baht per day for food. I'm just not a big spender when it comes to food. Like hey, at least I've eaten and the amount doesn't matter to me.

Now that I'm in my dorm, I'm eating the yum and the top part has cooled while the bottom part of the bowl is still hot.

Isn't it beautiful?!?!

In my opinion, it's delicious when it's still hot. But that doesn't mean that it doesn't taste good when it's cold. My former Thai teacher loves eating chilled yum. It's just like the Cold/Hot Pizza or Cold/Hot Spaghetti debate. Everyone's got their preferences, don't judge them.
I also like it how the spicy flavour is around your mouth and not inside(? Does that make sense? 

I'm currently having issues right now because I want to eat this yum while it's still hot but at the same time, I'd like to savour the moment and eat it slow but then it's going to be cold by then! Ahhh, the delema!

Overall, I'd say this was a a great experience. The salesperson at the stall was a fast worker, easy to talk to, didn't question much and I am absolutely delighted with the food. 

Are there chances of me going back to purchase food from that stall again?
Definitely!!

Hello! 

I'm Jenny and I'm a 17 year old college student living in Thailand. 3 months in and I haven't made any friends yet so I tend to have a lot of free time when I'm not studying. 

I decided to create a blog where I could vent and share things with people. I easily feel lonely so I believe that having a blog where I will be able to talk about anything will ease the loneliness and make me feel a little better.
